We size the breaker and wire to the equipment, run it cleanly, and install the disconnect where code requires one.
High-draw appliances on a shared or undersized circuit overheat the wiring and trip breakers — or worse, don't trip when they should. A hot tub especially has to be on a GFCI-protected circuit with a disconnect within sight, because it's water plus high voltage. Dedicated circuits keep these loads from interfering with the rest of the house and keep everyone safe around them.
